(1) which is the best way to transfer some files in 1 old Imac to a new Imac(with isignt build in)? --The old imac does not have combo drive!
(2) How can I set up a printer and scanner for the new Imac? (could be possible to let two Imacs share the same printer and Scanner)?
(3)The there is a application which is stored in some Floppy discs, how can i install it on the New Imac?
Thx

There were once four people named Everybody, Somebody, Nobody and Anybody. Somebody had to do a job, but Nobody wanted to do it. Nobody could see that Anybody could do it, and Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Nobody ended up doing it, and it so happened that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

1) Migration Assistant
2) OS X allows printer sharing (look in the Sharing preference pane) — I don't think you can normally do the same with scanners, though
3) Get a floppy drive and hook it up, or else transfer it from a computer that has a floppy drive

If your old iMac doesn't have a Firewire port it will not be able to use Migration assistant. In which case the best way would be to buy an ethernet cable to allow you to network the two machines together (which would be necessary for the printer sharing too as, if you don't have firewire, I think it is unlikely you have wireless networking either).
edit: If the old iMac does have Firewire, you may not need the ethernet cable as you can use TCP/IP over Firewire to network the two machines if they are both running 10.4.
If you network the two together via an ethernet connection, you can achieve all three objectives very easily assuming you have some means of reading the floppy already.

Depending on how many and how big the files are that you want to transfer. If it's only a few files, networking the computers would work, but you can even try something as simple as a flash drive or emailing the files to yourself. If they are larger files, then networking is probably your best bet.
Migration assistant is useful if you are transferring an entire account, or most of the files from an account.

B unce!
