When I started up the G5 this morning I had a Google window in the menubar. I have no idea how it got there. I must have accidently clicked a button or something while in preferences. Does anyone know how to get it out?

Thanks

Umm, and you haven't installed anything lately that would have caused that?

Not that I know of. I've looked all over my computer HD but then again, I'm new to Mac's so my looking "all over" is not saying much.

It looks like you have installed Butler there to me.

Try clicking on that Safari or Computer icon, do they show Butler preferences anywhere in their menus?

new to mac?
ok...but you've got a lot of custom stuff in the menubar; one of those apps is giving you the google window...

Yeah, I like my custom stuff. LOL I'm a sucker for all those little programs that many times add functionality to the OS. Sometimes they don't and I wonder why the h*** I bought THAT one. Fortunately most are ten bucks or so so it's rarely a big financial loss.

Anyway, as it turns out it was Butler. I've had that prgm. for three months and Google was not there. How it got there recently will probably always be a mystery as i did not intentionally put it there. It took some digging but I finally found the option and disabled it. Google is now gone.

Thanks, guys.
