Having few problems with Tiger on Mac Mini 1.42 , 80 gig, superdrive, airport and would like to start back fresh with a COMPLETE erase of my hard drive and fresh OS 10.4 install. Have disc with Tiger on it... not sure what next step is. If anyone has suggestions or a link to print out procedure for reinstalling, would appreciate any help. I have backed up all the important files I want to save. I may sell the macmini and would like to wipe out my hard drive clean of all files except what is needed for Tiger. Thanx

Boot from the Tiger disc and tell it to do an "Erase and Install".

If you had any sensitive personal information on that HDD, or did any banking, online purchases or other financial transactions on that machine, I would HIGHLY recommend using Disk Utility's Security options tab & select the "7-pass, write ones & zeros".

This will take a while, but will render 99.9% of all data on the disk unrecoverable.......Once completed, then you can do a fresh, new install of OS X.
