does anyone know if the new final cut universal version that's about to come out will work with the older g5 macs? or do i have to have a brand new intel based mac? i'm assuming that it would obviously still work with the older g5's as long as the operating software supports the fc universal requirements, but just want to make sure. any help would be awesome. thanks eben

Yes, it will work on G5 Macs (and probably G4s too).

This is why they're called "universal" binaries.

Universal Binary means by definition that you can use the application on PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macs at the same time.
