iMovie 6 - isight sound problem

Hello to all.
I startup my Intel iMac and launch iMovie 6.0.1 . Then I switch isight on and instantly I hear a terrible "high-pitched" noise that apparently comes from the speakers. Also after this happening, several times imovie crashed. Can you help me?
