Hi guys I was curious how I could go about cloning a few mac labs I have here. My searches tell me that carbon copy cloner is a viable solution, but my question is if I build up a drive with 10.4.3 on a G4 will I be able to transfer that image onto a G3 or is it hardware dependent?

Images from G3s and G4s are compatible. I think even at this point, they are compatible with G5s as well. Definitely not with Intel based Macs though.

Hey thanks I have been reading on bombich forums and found a way to multicast the image, sweet.......... They recommend building the master image on the latest and greatest mac you have lying around.
