Hi,

I've a 12" PB, Tiger, all updates. Extra stick of memory and an airport card installed.

Quite often, I get a kernal panic whenever I do a reboot. And I've no idea why. The last time it happened, was after downloading the OS updates... on the reboot - kernal panic.

But it can also happen when I've just been surfing etc, the reboot.

I've run mem test, multiple times over and over. No errors showing up. And I've also checked the connection on the airport card. Seems ok.

I never had this problem before Tiger. Only since my fresh clean install of Tiger (which I've now done 3 times).

So, can anyone help?

I've no latest panic.log, but they never seemed to be any help. There was never any dependencies listed in the backtrace of any use... just a list of numbers (addreses?)

try it without the ap card and extra ram stick, even if they do look ok.

I've just tried unistalling a few apps such as menu meters.. I'll then try your tip.

It's hard to reproduce the issue, it seems random.. which makes it so much harder!

dunno. Probably something to do with how difficult they are to identify and solve!

update... just for others that might have similar problems. I removed all traces of 'menu magic' and the problem seems to have gone away! :-)
