hello-

i am about to wipe out my hard drive and reinstall the OS. i want to back-up my email and preferences for aim, email, etc. how do i do this? i know it involves plist files, where are these and will they translate properly from panther to tiger?

You can make a clone of your hard drive on an external firewire drive and after wiping internal drive and installing Tiger, you can use Migration Assistant to copy all your relative files from external!
