Has anyone installed Tiger 10.4.6 and then had problems with QT Pro 7? Evertime I try to play a QT video, either in iTunes, in QT itself, or in Logic, I get no sound and just a high piercing "squeal" out of my speakers (studio monitors). When I switch to the built-ins, I get the same thing. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
D. Ogden

Try looking at the System Preferences -> Audio panel and opening Audio MIDI Setup and see if those settings are correct.

i fiddled with audio midi setup in utilities and got it working

seems it was set to 122khz and 24 bit out

changing to 44 khz and 16 bit seems to have sorted it

what a hassle though !
