I'm having trouble getting OS 9 installed on my PowerBook Ti 1Ghz with 10.4.6 installed. I have one program that works with my GPS unit that I'll need for traveling this summer. That program only works in OS9 and they quit updating the software. Anyhow, I have the "PowerBook G4 Software Install and Restore" disc. I don't recall if I ever had another disk with OS9 on it.
Anyone have any information that can help?
I'm wondering if I'm using the wrong DVD.

I do not know if this is the case for your PowerBook, but with recent Macs a Classic installer is included on the Hardware Test CD. If you cannot find the installer, you can also copy a valid OS 9 system folder from someone else's Mac.

I finally found a solution. I found an older hard drive that I use to hook up that had OS 9 on it. I copied OS9 folder over and it appears to be working okay. I was a fan of OS9, and it took me a while to remember how to turn on file sharing.
