I want to be able to use F9-F11 for Expose, and F1-F5 brightness and volume on my PowerBook, without having to use the fn key. I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.6.

In Keyboard preferences there is the option "Use the F1-F12 keys to control software features," but is there an easy way to make some of the F-keys control software features and some of them control hardware features?
