So, this started quite a while ago, but I haven't been able to find a solution as of yet.

Some images, and only some, have a weird corruption of their colours when viewed on my system. The images look perfectly fine on other Macs. Sometimes the image will be colour corrupted in the preview area of a Finder window, and sometimes the file has to be opened to see the corruption.

The problem shows itself not only in Preview, but also Safari (many images posted in threads on this board show the problem). Interestingly, the images look fine in Camino.

To see what I'm talking about, take a look at these two images:

The first image is the original file, while the second is a screenshot of the corruption I managed to grab (it's actually an export of the screenshot, which is here if you want to see it).

Now, the Finder also shows some funky colour behaviour. For instance, when I click and hold on the Back button in the Finder, I get this:

That was made through Snapz Pro X (hence no cursor), if it matters.

I'm sure there's some sort of system-level problem here, as the corrupt shows up in Apple's apps, but not so much in third party apps such as Camino.

Lastly, here are the various relevant specs of my machine and the apps involved:

Power Mac G4 450DP
GeForce2 MX Card (flashed with GeForce TwinView ROM, 1075)

Mac OS X 10.3.9 with all of the latest system updates installed, except QuickTime 7
Safari 1.3.2 (v312.6)
Camino 1.0 (2006021400)
Preview 2.1.0 (v211)

Yeah, it might be the card (I honestly can't remember if the problem started before or after the card was installed), but I'm hoping it's software-related.

Thanks.
