When I drag a file into one of my idisk folders the transfer window pops up....but it acts as though it is copying the file to a local disk. i.e. the transfer speed is incredibly fast and the progress bar moves all the way across. It then sits there while the file is actually uploaded.

I am unable to see exactly how fast my file is transfering to the idisk. Is this a common issue?

Mines the same, usually copies very fast then sits there with "Closing file..." for the time it takes to upload.

Yes, I have a slow dsl and that is how it behaves… I can even recall it when my connection was via 56kbps modem… nevertheless, it was always kinda slow so I use Goliath to copy stuff from/to my iDisk since a long time ago.

Do you have iDisk syncing turned on? Won't it first copy it to the local iDisk, the sync in the background?
Too many Apple/Mac products to even bother listing!

Apple has an article about this in their knowledge base which may help explain what is happening during an idisk file transfer.
