Help anyone, whenever I open an avi(divx) file it crashes quicktime but it wasnt like this before, usually it would ask to download some components off the website. I know that it doesn't have any codec installed, the problem is when I "get info" the divx file it crashes because of the preview. Is there a way to fix this?

Are you sure you don't have any divx or wmv codec installed? check /Libray/QuickTime at the root of your harddrive...

no codec. I formatted it 3 times (zero'd the last one) lol
