I am looking for some assistance,Firstly I must appologize if I am posting this question in the wrong forum, I have a non Intel G5 iMac and 10.4 Tiger OS. I have encountered a problem that has me stumped, all my online streaming content loads perfectly fine but I am unable to hear any of the content. This is the case for Mediaplayer, Quicktime and VLC. It was all working perfectly fine up till yesterday, I have checked sound preferences but there was nothing there to help me. I have the same problem on both Safari and Firefox. I can hear streaming content through iTunes which makes the problem even more pecular. Any suggestions for a fix would be appreciated.

go to:

Apps / Utilities / AudioMidi Settings

and switch your frequency back to 48kHz or below.

If that doesn't work, launch GarageBand, close it and see if that helps.
