Configuring Xserve for serving JSPs

My consultant has written and successfully tested a JSP running under Windows. However he doesn't have the skill to configure it to run under Tomcat Apache on an Xserve.

Currently when the web page submit button is pressed the web server doesn't know how to activate the available JSP.

Tomcat Apache docs are overwhelming. I don't have the skill to parse out what's relevant to the problem. I'd appreciate recommendations on where to turn now.
