OK... so... holy frick I just had pages mess up something weird! Like... WEIRD! OK i've been a Mac user for like... 7 years now I guess, anyway, this has happened twice now in two different apps so I'm kinda worried. OK...
I just opened a pages doc that I normally store ideas in. And when I open it goes all crazy like your super nintendo cartridge was dirty sorta thing. You know all kinds of weird coloured boxes. It was crazy I nearly had a heart attack. And the other day I had Safari display a gif on my website in a similarly crazy half shown half not manner.
I don't have a clue what on earth this could be from, all my software is up to date and everything... my guess would be a software thing but... I have no idea!

Sounds like a hardware problem but it could be that "gif of death thing". What Mac do you have? You may be better asking in that forum and I would also run the hardware test.

Well see it was like within the app windows... would faulty hardware have done that?

Hmmm, maybe. Would it be too much trouble to run the hardware test and rule it out?

How come you post this in the MacOS X section, Salty? You're a regular, so you should know how to make a more descriptive post of your problem …

Anyway, please give more details on this … in particular about your hardware.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Aperture does that all the time when the system is under heavy load. It's temporary, though, and it does soon redraw correctly.
