i used to use this , but...
it hasn't been updated in a few years.

read the comments etc first before you try it...

btw
what i do these days, is use transparent dock to lock the dock in place, UNDER windows (so i can use the fullscreen on my 12" powerbook)

but, not sure what u need...

Without the Dock you wouldn't have:

• Window minimizing
• Command-Tab program switcher
• Exposé
• Dashboard

Cmd-Option-D turns hiding on. Should serve you well enough if you can handle the Dock occasionally popping up when you mouse near its edge of the screen.

I've heard that if you use TinkerTool or some other such hack to pin your Dock to the top, right below the menubar, it's actually harder to accidentally trigger it.
