hi im planning on buying a midrange laptop soon in the next month or so and altough i would love a mac i cant afford one, but would it be possible to dual boot os x with a laptop running a intel duo core cpu instead?

Apple does not currently license Mac OS X for use on non-Apple hardware. People do hack it to run on regular PCs, but it's not the easiest process and it may be illegal to do so depending on the laws of your jurisdiction.

Unfortunately you cannot buy OS X for x86 hardware separately. This means you would have to use an illegally acquired copy of OS X. Closing …
