will the OS allow 3 monitors each with its own realestate with a second video card under 10.4 +?

Wow! so with the second card, I can have a center (main, with menubar on top) and a left ( mouse moves to the left) and a right ( mouse moves to the right) and the three appear in the sychmaster pane and I can arrange as I please?

this then id have to seriously consider a third monitor when I await the Intel powermac!

Yep. Even System 7 supported up to 10 displays. I don't know whether Mac OS X has a limit on the number of displays.

In any case, you use the Arrangement tab of the Displays preference pane to set up the displays.

Yep - put in a load of vid cards and have lots of screens!
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.
