Hello,

I a ma switcher and i have had my new MacBook Pro for 2-3 weeks now. On the Bluetooth menu, when i click on "send or browse device", nothing happens. I need to manually launch the BT transfer files app from Apps/Utilities.
I reinstalled BT menubar using Pacifist and it resolved the problem in a strange way... I have a french copy of OS X 10.4.6 and so my Utilities folder is called "Utilitaires". All Apps located in there works perfectly, even though those which are launched by the menubar or whatever.
The BT menubar, however, doesn't weem to work because it doesn't find the BT file exchane App in the french folder, but it does when it is located in a folder called utilities.

So basically, it doesn't work beacuse of my localiezd version of OS X. But that's the only app that does that. How to "repair" that BT menu bar?

Thanks!

- I would have removed it from your Menu bar first (Hold Apple + Click and drag off the menu bar)

- Restart the computer

- Open System Preferences and go to Bluetooth
- Settings
- Show Bluetooth status in the Menu bar
- Now try again the menu again.

I don't even use this menu. I use Quicksilver to launch to the Bluetooth File Exchange application, and any other application for that matter. If you can't solve your problem I would give this program a shot, infact I'd use it no matter what. It's incredibly time saving.

Mmh, unfortunately, this trick doesn't work. Thanks anyway!

Oh, btw, really stupid question (and Google didn't helped me): is it possible to change the wallpaper automatically at startup?

Gee. That's a tough one to figure out.

No. Wait.... System Preferences/Desktop & Screen Saver/Desktop/Change Picture/when logging in

I wish Apple would not make it so hard to find things.

Oh right. But you know, when you're familiar with Windows and the "find for 30 minutes to activate something" stuff, you don't think the Apple manner I didn't even think it would be implemented in OS X. Really cool anyway, thx.

Let's get back to my BT problem
