Changing the links in the sidebar in finder

Anyone know how to change ie Pictures in the finder sidebar to point to another location than ~/Pictures ?

Sure. Just drag the current Pictures folder out of the sidebar to remove it, and drag the folder you would prefer it point to, to the sidebar.

Well that way the "cute" pictures icon will disappear from the folder in the sidebar

1. Get Info on the Pictures Folder
2. Select the Icon in the info window, and copy it to your clipboard
3. Get info on your new Folder, and paste the icon.
4. Add the new folder to the Sidebar.

Actually, that doesn't work. The icon for the Music folder is a folder icon with a treble clef on it. The sidebar icon is just the treble clef, without the folder icon. The same basic thing applies for pictures, movies, etc. Those sidebar icons must be stored somewhere else and be somehow "different" than other icons.
