Hi. I have a B&w G3. I had OS9 and OS 10.0 installed, and I went to os x, and all the icons are folders, and when I try to open one it says somthing like "cannot find application." I can't even open the system preferences. I can't open anything on a CD either. All I can do is open the finder. Also, when I try to go home, it says i do not have sufficient priveleges. I am the admin! How can I fix my PC?

I do NOT have my OS X or 9 cd. I am buying an OS 10.3.7 CD (for $25 including shipping is that a good deal?) and I don't know if I have the latest firmware. How can I check my firmware version?

Help me Please!!!

Oy is right.

First, see if you can boot from the OS X CD that came with your machine. If so, you should be able to install OS X. But 10.0 didn't have the archive option, so you'll either have to install as an upgrade (which may not work right) or reformat the drive (so you'll need a backup).

Panther should be acceptable on that machine as long as you have at least 256MB of RAM. 512 would be better.

That would be a problem, as stated in my previous thread.
