Okay... this PC guy can't accept my .sit files, so he told me to download the free sample test of RAR for OSX and I could stuff the files with that and send them to him... Oooookay... so I download it, and when I double click on the RAR file, a program called Terminal opens up. Huh?
How do I use this to compress files? It seems to imply I'm supposed to type 'a' to 'add files to archive' but I don't even have an archive yet... Man I am a moron... This is UNIX, yes?
Can anyone give me a way to use RAR to archive these damn files? I know squat about UNIX... i've tried opening Terminal shells and typing commands to no avail...
is there a trick?
Hellllllllp... please?
Or barring that, is there a free Zip program for Macs? He could accept .zip, but all I own is Stuffit.
