Greetings everyone....
I've had an iMac G5 iSight for about 7 months, it's my first Mac in many, many years.
I'm a bit frustrated that everytime I want to install a unix or linux/X11 program I always,
and I mean always have problems with missing libs etc......I used Debian linux and other
variants for a long time, though Im not a linux guru, I was able to get by and found it to
be a great learning experience. I love my Mac (at times) and then other times I almost hate
it. When I think about the Unix system system that drives OSX, man I'm excited, but when I
run into difficulties I just want to give up. I've also begun to use Fink, a great app!
Any advice on how to get a "real" handle on getting the most out of Unix/OSX?
I will say the more I learn, the more excited I become. Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
Jaco
