I'm having a weird problem with all my DVD's: It seems like while using and browsing the DVD's the files are disappearing,...
You can find some screenshots here: http://picasaweb.google.com/leonliber/DVDSProblem
All the DVD's are in UDF format and burned on a win.
Doe's any body knows whats the problem??
Thanks in advance, Leon.

I think you could have burned them as 'data discs' instead of UDF… isn't UDF just aimed to DVD movies?, maybe the Mac OS is expecting a 'real' DVD Video disc and is not able to see the files there…

I don't know about burn options on windows, but Toast can let you burn the DVD media as 'data'… I guess that would do it.

Let me add a similar issue a friend currently has… this friend has toasted several DVDs created with iDVD, those DVD discs work perfectly with several Macs and with every dvd set box he has tried so far… but they are unplayable on any windows xp computer… Does anyone know if XP comes with some nasty feature preventing such DVDs being reproduced? :-/

I encountered what I believe to be my first UDF (I admit I don't know everything about UDF format) disk last week at work. It was a home movie DVD burned by someone on a PC and I had to get it to DV format. I had to use terminal to get to the hidden TS folder and then use sudo cp to copy the TS folder to my desktop before I would work with it. Otherwise I didn't have permission to even view the VideoTS folder. Weird.....

Nope, get the VIDEOTS folder off the disk and then reburn it as a regular DVD using Toast.
