I have a CD-Rom (650Mb), and I can't get the files to copy. At first the whole disk would not read (error You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read. To continue with the disk inserted click Ignore.). Now I can't get any of the files to copy (error -36). There are no visible scratches. I used Toast to make the backup, and I'm sure I used verify after making the disk.

I read a post suggesting to try OS 9--no help.

Any suggestions of what steps I can take to get these files off the disk?

Try using a different CD-ROM drive. I find that my laptop drive is more finicky about disk flaws than my desktop drive is.

It's the same drive I used to burn the CD.
You have a good idea. I only have one Mac.
Are there any software solutions?
