Greetings,

I have used Synergy and GimmeSomeTune to try and map my F14, F15 and F16 keys to the "Previous Song", "Next Song" and "Play/Pause" functions of iTunes. Currently I can use either of those applications to map F16 straight up without using Control or Option or any other combination key. However, I cannot do it with the F14 or F15; I must use a combination key for those two or they won't work.

Can anyone tell me why this is or what I can do to circumvent this functionality? When I press F14 or F15 when they are not mapped I cannot see that they are doing anything. I have a dual core mini by-the-way.

I've checked in the preferences pane and cannot see that the F14 and F15 keys are mapped to anything there either.

What mac are you on? On my iMac F14 and F15 adjust brightness.

You're doing the same thing I tried to do. It's not possible. They pretty much may as well put brightness icons on thse keys because they can't be changed.

Sucks. I have to use F11, F12 and F13 for my iTunes stuff. (Keys I think Apple should build into the keyboard anyway. I mean really. The "Pro" keyboard should have volume, brightness and iTunes controls built into it. So far they have two out of three. Actually, I could do without brightness. My display itself has the buttons anyway.
