Have the chance to move from my G4/800 to a G4/1.42 DP machine and wondering if I can get away with just moving my HD physically rather than copying, etc.? I guess the question being, does the OS install everything it needs or will it have left things out that it needs for the DP machine when it installed on my G4/800? (both machines are G4).

Yes, I could re-install, but I have a heavily modified/installed set of unix functions.

G4/800 is current with 10.4.7

thanks,
Mike
