Im thinking over about Upgrading my macs.. But with x.4.7 our seems like leopard should be just around the corner. Should I wait for leopard or Get Tiger?
Would Leopard Even run on my g4 macs (2).
Ones a DDR Dual 867 mhz PowerPc g4 with 1.25 gb ram and 64 mb vid card
the other is a Quicksilver 1 ghz power pc g4 with 1 gb ram and 128 mb vid card

Would it be worth it to buy tiger now if leopard works with my macs or wait for leopard?

Leopard wont be out until probably March of next year (and it will run on those machines), so if you're fine with what you have and don't mind waiting it's probably best to wait for it.

I think Leopard will be released in Jan 07 and will run on your G4s.

10.3.9 right now on both machines...
January or March? Really. I thought with 10.4.7 out that leaves them only 2 more versions before either they run out of numbers or go down another level... 10.4.9.4 ahhh..

Well they wont even preview it until next month, and it's usually another 6 months after that before it comes out.

Actually, no... they could got to 10.4.9, then 10.4.10 and then 10.4.11

Also, some year, they could go to OS X 10.9 and then OS X 11.0

It's just a number.

My official vote is to hold out and wait. 10.3.9 isn't a bad OS at all, and Leopard is less than a year away. But it's your call, and if you NEED Tiger for something, then by all means grab it. But otherwise I'd tough it out. (Then again, that may just be the poor starving college student in me speaking out...)

Any ramblings are entirely my own, and do not represent those of my employers, coworkers, friends, or species
