Hi everyone ... this is my first post. I'll start off by saying I've been lurking around a little before joining ... and I did a search on this before I posted (with no success).
Is there any way to edit settings for FrontRow? More specifically, can I get rid of the music that plays when I go to a photo album? Could I use iTunes music? Thanks ahead of time.

Yes. You must change the music in iPhoto.

Yeah ... um how? I looked in the preferences and whatnot. If I have something playing in iTunes and then go to a photo album in FrontRow, the music changes.

in iphoto, choose an album and press the play button at the bottom to start a slideshow. A window will come up asking for what transitions, time between each photo, etc. Along the top should be some tabs, one of them labelled music. Choose your song from there, or playlist. Save your settings for that album and you are set! Although I don't think that all the other albums are ... I don't know of a way to set the slideshow settings as default so you might have to go through each of your albums one by one.
More specifically, I wish to know if it is possible to choose what appears under the videos section in front row and such. Because as of now, it syncs with whatever is in your itunes playlists ... but I have higher quality videos in my movies folders that I have to scroll all the way to the bottom and load another folder. I don't want to watch my tiny videos formatted for ipod on my 17" widescreen anyway. Anyone know how?

markybigred, this is a good question. I have been wondering how to do this for a while because that music that plays during a slideshow is quite cheesy. I have dozens of albums and don't really want to have to go through each one to change the settings. There must be some way to change the default music to "OFF."
I will look around more and report back if I find a better way.

Thanks mikemako .... glad to hear someone shares my troubles, haha. Good luck with the search.

Maybe you could find that song that always plays and delete it or replace it with a song you want to play?

Open iPhoto, click on the slideshow tab near the bottom of the window. Another window will open, select music, then select the song.

Actually imitchellg5, that setting won't stick. It'll default if you choose to play a different photo album.

Ah. Changing the settings for the individual albums seems to work. Just click on the album you want then click on slideshow.

Just got back from the Apple forums, doesn't seem like Apple is really listening to our plees for Front Row preferences (or at least to not have Ken Burns and Minuet in G as the default settings)
In my search, however, I did find a program that lets you program your Apple remote to do, literally, whatever you want it to do. Different commands can be assigned also if the button is held instead of pressed. Well worth the download, it's free too!
