I have Dual 2GHz G5 with 2.5 GB SDRAM. I run it 24/7 and have iTunes playing music constantly. Today, for the first time, the music started to stutter and the G5 froze up. The fans started to run full speed, like when you take the covers off the computer, so I powered off waited a few minutes and started up again. I loaded iTunes and hit the Play button, a song played for 15 seconds and the G5 froze up again. I rebooted, watch a movie for two hours then started iTunes again. The same thing happened. As soon as the song started it froze up. I rebooted started iTunes and tried shutting down iTunes without playing anything. The machine froze up again.

Any ideas on what causes this?

Thank you

JN

I found the solution to my problem, saw a posting about repairing Disk Permissions on the OS X Volume, did that and all is fine.

Thank you
