I need a little help here.

In Panther I was able to create custom shortcut to toggle email spell-check as I type on and off.
I go to keyboard properties, create custom shortcut, type "Check Spelling as You Type" and assign a key combination to it (say Cmd-Option-S). Save this, restart mail and I could toggle the spelling with using this kbd combination.

Now, with Tiger it doesn't work. Even though in right-click menu I can see the command and I also see the shortcut assigned to it.

Funny enough if I only right-click and then go with the kbt shortcut - it works, but not unless I right-click. Arghh!

Another thing that works is to choose the similar thing from Edit in the menu bar, I can create shortcut for As You Type and never, and they work, only the one from right-click menu doesn't work.

Anyone has some healthy idea to fix this ?

Thanks.
