None that I know of, but just in case one appears, make sure to update whichever browser with the latest patches, they often address potential security issues. Both Firefox and Safari automatically look for updates, so that part is easy.
Are there many exploits against Mac OS which are browser-mediated? If so, does it matter which browser is being used?
No, there have been essentially no browser-based exploits on the Mac. There have been some theoretical ones, as well as a few theoretical exploits of the OS in general, but there have been nearly zero real world attempts to hack OS X.
