Apple Menu and Quit Menu has disappeared

My Apple Menu has completely disappeared. Some applications do not have any options except the "About" option. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried creating a new user account, logging into it, and seeing if the problem is present there as well? My guess is that it will not be, in which case, you have a problem with your user account.
