I'm on G5 with 10.4.7

You put in a disk and it does not mount. It also wont eject. what easiest way to get it out of tray? Any idea on why this happens? thanks.

Go to disc utility and the "gathering disk information spins and spins"
so it's off to a reboot.

I get relix magazine, and it always has a free disc of tunes with it...every other month one of the discs does this in my macbook...still don't know why.

eject by pushing the mouse button on reboot, or the C key

thanks, did that. Yes think was a problem dics. It did mount on a lacie external, but the files would not open

Spotlight might be busy indexing drive...
