I have this color library I am unable to find on my computer since it has some characters beyond my knowledge, -sorry about that-, hence I can not tell Spotlight to do a search about such given color library. I have tried it -the search- with some typical color suffixes like .clr .icc .pf but it didn't return any interesting info. I had created a new personalized color library with an easy to find name, just in case this weird library is placed right there with it. No luck.

Any idea where could this be located?, my concern is being to able to use it with another Mac which lacks such color library.

I can not see how ColorSync utility could help me here since such color library has nothing to do with ColorSync, right?.

Color Library giving me a headache, as yesterday:

If it's an Apple color list, it should be in either /Library/Colors or in ~/Library/Colors (or if it's been put in the wrong place, it may be in /System/Library/Colors).

If it's an icc profile containing a color list, it should be in either /Library/ColorSync/Profiles or in ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles (or if it's been put in the wrong place, it may be in /System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles).

It looks like the Pantone color list, which is (I seem to remember) available as an icc profile.

Shameless plug: If you want to use the pantone color list and use spot colors in cocoa apps, why not try Spot Picker?

Well, some of the ColorSync items are localized during installation and actual file names are shown (examples are ColorSync filters and AFAIK profiles as well). Is there a chance that you have installed your OS in some language other than Spanish (obviously this is the localization you use).
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions, they are really welcome

Barney, I am going to check Spot Picker out. Are you by any chance they guy behind such app?.

The purpose here is to be able to use the Pantone color list from e.g. Adobe apps with the iWork Apple apps… I can "understand" Keynote and Pages are not Pro-apps, mainly Pages, I guess they fit into the "prosumer" category, but I know people that uses them side by side with Adobe CS suite as the main apps on their daily workflow, so they really NEED to get Pantone support on such Apple apps.

It would be fantastic if that can be achieved.

Thank you again.

Yes, I am the author of Spot Picker. If you have the Adobe swatch files, Spot Picker lets you use them in any app which uses the system colour picker. Even better, in most cocoa apps (including Keynote and Pages) it treats spot colours properly so that your separations work when you drag things into InDesign or export them as PDF.

Let me know what you think of it!

WOW, that sounds AWESOME, I will pass this to my friend who is an Art Director and was looking for such feature in despair.

I'll let you know if Spot Picker let him solve it.

Fantastic Barney, another Spot Picker license sold because the software works !!.

Isn't really nice when clever software lets you achieve stuff you were told was impossible ??.

Based on that screenshot, there's something wrong with the highlighted item. Those characters are gibberish.

Exactly, that was previous to installing Spot Picker, but my friend is unable to find such color list, and believe me, he would love to get rid of it.
