All,

I need to buy a couple multi-use development machines. They'd be used by a few people to write code, compile, and test. Nothing really big, though.

Do I need OS X Server to accomodate multitple users? If I do does that mean I would be limited to the type of machine? I need two machines, a PPC and an Intel Mac. I was thinking a G5 tower and either an Intel iMac or a Mac Pro.

Again no major develpoment effort here. Just needs to support multiple users (via ssh).

Thanks,
Todd

No, you don't need OS X server for that. There are no relevant limitations for what you intend to do with these machines. Underneath OS X, you have a full-featured unixoid environment, anything you can do with Linux, you can do with OS X.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
