I'm currently working on an installation of Plone on my Mac OS X, running Tiger.
Using darwin port, i'm unable to install anything because it requires a version of gnutar that supports the --no-same-owner option. the Gnutar version is 1.13, when i beleve 1.15 is what i want.

i tried installing the latest dev tools but still - same version of gnutar.


How can I get a new version of gnutar? i tried building from the source on the gnu website and that proved to be futile as well.

Frustrated..

It's in the latest fink.

The first thing I do on a new Mac is install Fink.
