I do have a clone of the disk before I went on leave but I've started up my PB after 3 weeks away. Mail has my emails but has not remembered any preferences or held any of my smart mailboxes. Likewise MS office has not retained an update.


sync won't work I keep getting this!



Also it's telling me I've never synced

Help greatly appreciated. This is hugely inconvenient.

How much HD space do you have left and whats the SMART status on your HD? If you haven't made any changes to your data since you got back I'd just clone your backup onto the HD.

Weird:

Right after I posted the bookmarks folder came back in safar1. And now I'm at home Mail is back to where it should be.

Any explanations - I can't think of one?

I think you may have some corruption issues, try repairing permissions. Something weird is going on.
