Ok, here's the problem. I can't save to the desktop. There's no Desktop folder/icon in my finder.



Is there a way to create a desktop section in the finder? I tried creating a folder named Desktop, but when it saves to it, what I saved doesn't appear on the actual desktop.

the actual desktop folder you want is in /Users/YourName/Desktop

just drag that folder into your finder sidebar and it will be back

edit: oh, i see what you're saying now....failure to look at picture on my part. perhaps try restarting and/or logging out, repairing disk permissions and see if you can see your desktop folder again...
