Hey everyone and anyone, I bought an Olympus voice recorder thinking that the USB connection would let me just copy the .wav files it records. That has not happened, and so far the only way I can get the recordings (faster than real-time) is to use Olympus' Windows-only software.
Shouldn't I be able to go into the terminal and cp the files from the recorder to my hard disk? The USB Prober program recognizes it, but I don't know what to look for in "/dev" can anyone offer some pointers? I should be looking in "/dev" right?
The relevant output of USB Prober looks like this, if it's any help:

you only need mount " mount /dev/sda1 /mount point " example " mount -t auto /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb " and you get the files..

if not mount you need re-compile the kernel. scsi device and usb mass storage device.

bye
