I do some mac consulting, and it's frustrating that my panther discs won't start up all computers that run Panther. Sometimes I need to archive and install on computer that require a higher version than the 10.3.0 discs I've got.

Is there anyway to get or make some 10.3.9 install discs that would support every machine that runs Panther?

The easiest way is to get 10.3.5 on disc from Amazon or even eBay.

You could probably do it with BootCD if you really need 10.3.9.

I would contact Applecare and order the install discs from them. Purchasing the discs from e-bay is a little risky because panther install discs will work on your mac. It is best to get the install discs that was included with the purchase of the computer.

There's lots of web retailers like Mega Macs that sell previous gen. OS disks at a discount, too.
