Last year i bought an ibook and lost the restore disks so i bought a copy of os x tiger to install after i did a reformatt. im looking at buying a used mac mini that has 10.3 installed on it. can i use that same disc to upgrade the mac mini or do i need to buy another copy? Thanks.

If you sell the iBook with 10.4 on it, you should also sell it with the install discs. Apple's license states that you need to purchase one license per machine, or a $199 five seat Family license. That said, the OS install discs work on any compatible Mac.
