Is it possible to make the little "hold down shift to make dashboard appear slower" permanent? Meaning, whenever I activate dashboard, it does it slowly as if I'm holding shift?

This might be possible with AppleScript. Maybe someone more knowledgeable could confirm or deny this.

Interesting request...why would you want this? Just curious.

Not that I'm aware. I mean, it's probably possible if you want to hack the Dock, but not normally.

Well, my mini under my load can't smoothly display the widgets when I activate the dashboard. It's very jumpy and jerky. When I shift trick it, it's very smooth. Stupid request, I know, but I rather like that whole "oooh and ahhh" factor.

Slightly off topic, sorry.

Those of you who have fairly recent Macs, especially Intel Macs with the Radeon x1600,

is your frame rate quite low when you shift-click minimize a window? For example, this safari window you are looking at right now, shift click the minimize and tell me whether or not the animation is silky smooth or if it kinda stutters.
