.dll = dynamic(ally) link(ed) libraries.........they come from the hEll that is M$ and it's confabulated clusterf*ck of interdependencies & mishedmashed bloatware crapola............

seeings how they are "proxy" files, they may be networking/port sniffing/packet filtering related, possibly spamware/spyware/backdoor related........

ps: no such files exists on any of my machines or my friend's (7 macs between us)
Signatures are ugly. Bitchy women are ugly......YOU do the math :)

I don't remember the command, but there's a way to see what application or process is using a specific file. Maybe one of the UNIX gurus here can fill you in.

I did a google for "System Requirements Lab" and then clicked the first link and then said DOH! I had ran some web page system check to see if I could run something and did it as a funny joke to myself because I knew my mac wouldn't run the pc program but was having fun, opps, lol, I think it was something for when I was poking around with, ah hum, Windows Vista RC1 lol... I knew the DLL's were windows based files but wasn't sure what they were doing on my mac. We do have a nice sized network in our home and do frequently connect to other Windoze machines back and forth and wonder if these files had something to do with that but they were dated a few weeks back and hadn't changed since.

So off to the trash can they go, wheeee....

Thanks guys!
- Eric
