Ok. I have a power book g4 running 1.3.9. I have about 10.5 gigs of open space on the hard drive. It kept sputtering and eventualy froze at the white apple screen. Then i loaded the power book disk one in and it got past the blue bar loading screen and just stoped at the black blue screen, finder didnt launch. Volume button worked, brightness worked, but got the sound when i hit any other keys. So I tried the "fsck -fy" and tried to repair it. It said repairing volume and i left it sit for about three hours. When i came back there was no "drive ok" so i shut the power down with the button since the reboot comand did not work. It took a long time to boot up but eventualy popped up everything except for the airport symbol at the top. Now when ever i try to open an aplication or finder window it take a long long time to execute. I get the pinwheel of death constantly. Please help me as i have a sound design project dude soon. Sorry to sound desperate i just dont want to drive an hour to the mac store only to have them send it to apple for 2 weeks. I hope i still have hair by the time i get this thing repaired.
Thanks
