I think Jobs announced it at one of the Macworlds but I cant seem to find it. Is it HD-DVD or Blue ray?

IIRC they're trying to cover all bases and plan to support both.

I think they were initially in the Blu-Ray camp.

They will use botha - ala the SuperDrive. It will be a hybrid device.
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.

They started in the Blu-Ray camp, but later announced that they would be supporting both next-gen formats. No word if it'll be via a hybrid drive, or by the user's choice (or two separate drives, in the case of the Mac Pro).
