no sharing in system preferences

i was trying to share internet from the macbook pro and there is no sharing in the system preferences, it looks like its not installed or something. please help

Try deleting your System Preferences cache and re-launching System Preferences.

deleted the cache and its still not there? is there a way to install it or something?

The sharingPref.prefpane is located in System/Library/Pref Panes.
Check to see if its there first. If not use Pacifist and your Install DVD (Tiger) and install the sharingPref.prefpane in System/Library/Pref Panes.
