I am having at least two issues with Safari and just need some one with a brighter mind to give me some insight...
1. When I click a "download file here" button, safari does nothing. I have to right-click and choose download file link. A week ago, I was not having this issue, now it is a little annoying.
2. Sometimes after a page loads, safari scrolls all the way to the bottom of a page. What is up with this? This happens very often on one particuliar page, and it only happens in Safari....
I love Safari because it is so fast, but I would love to iron the kinks out so if you guys/gals have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!! Cheers and have a great weekend!!

The problem seems more like a website issue. Try using an alternate browser like Firefox on the same page and see if that changes things.
If not, try disabling your double finger scrolling if your using a laptop that is.
Although this seems more like a site issue. I've had a few websites act weird on me with Safari and they run fine when I use Firefox 2.0 (which by the way isnt very slow anymore like it used to be)

There are some ads that have a text box in them that takes focus when the page loads causing the page to scroll to where that text box is. It can be quite annoying when those ads appear.

I think you might be right about the scrolling issue since that happens only on a few sites, but the download issue with having to right click is pretty universal lately... and it just began a week ago.. I was wondering if there is a preferences issue, even though I hear that has become uncommon is OS X. I just recently crossed back over from Windoze. I have not used Mac's since 8.6! So I am quite overwhelmed with the learning curve needed to get comfortable again... I will check out firefox again though... I was just using that on my pc before I got rid of it. and I was trying to maintain the integrity of me mac... yep, I know that sounds kinda weird... but, man it is so good to be back!!!

That could be it too... there are a lot of ads being displayed on the page, but there aren't any ads at the very bottom. It does not seem to be affected on my work computer(PC) using ie or firefox. so, it seems like safari might be adbot sensitive? hmmm???? thanks for the replies...

Why not post a link or links so others can see if they have the same problem and diagnose it if they do?

Without an example page, not really. Is the page using Flash by any chance?

The download button right-click issue first started to happen trying to down load the newsreader "vienna", never could download that, even by right-clicking. the activity window in safari showed it trying to, but it never showed in my download window. Now, I have to right-click just about everything to download anything. Is it possible to "re-install" safari? and if so, how? I know this is not windoze and I need to unlearn quite a few behaviors to get the most out of my mac experience.... but, I could atleast try this.... and see if a fresh install of safari would eliminate the problem.... thanks for any suggestions...
